Jason Gelman joined Google in 2022 as the Director in Google Cloud focusing on Large Models delivered via Vertex AI, Document AI, and Translate. His work focuses on bringing the best of Google’s AI technologies to business users, application developers, data scientists, and IT professionals.

Prior to Google, Jason led AI product and engineering teams at Amazon Web Services, including launching the AWS responsible AI toolchain, and was the CFO and General Counsel for Body Labs, a machine learning startup acquired by Amazon in 2017. Before 2012 Jason practiced commercial real estate law at large law firms in New York, where he represented clients in over $15B worth of acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions. While in law school, Jason authored Cambodia’s first regulation enabling e-commerce.

Jason holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and a B.A. in computer science from Dartmouth College. He lives in New York with his wife and 2 young children.
