Co-Founder & CEO

Ron Vianu is the co-founder and CEO of Covera Health where he has pioneered the development of a transformative AI-enabled diagnostic intelligence platform. Covera Health stands at the forefront of healthcare innovation, bridging the gap between employers, health plans, and providers to enhance diagnostic accuracy across a patient’s care continuum. Covera is backed by Jeff Hoering at Insight Partners, Sam Zell at Equity Group Investments and Judson Cooper at Prism Ventures.

Before his work at Covera, Ron founded Spreemo, a radiology referral management platform within the occupational medicine space. Under his leadership, Spreemo rapidly scaled from a startup with six employees to a team of over 200, earning accolades such as Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 Award for two consecutive years. This rapid growth and success culminated in a strategic acquisition in 2017. Spreeemo was backed by Pamplona Capital, a PE firm based in the UK with offices in NY.

Ron is a published author of numerous papers, abstracts and book chapters involving methods to leverage AI and data science to better measure and quantify the impact of diagnostic quality on patient care, outcomes and costs, and holds several related patents, including, “Computer-implemented machine learning for detection and statistical analysis of errors by healthcare providers” and “System and Method for Calculating Accurate Ground Truth Rates from Unreliable Sources”. Utilizing these methods, combined with Covera’s AI-enabled diagnostic intelligence platform, Covera has created a proprietary system for quality analytics in the field of radiology that scales in a way that was not previously possible.
